Many times in the last couple years i wanted to download these files, but it always failed, the file got downladed bugged or something, but today success !!! Keep on the Nile
Early on when i ran Keep on the Borderlands i used it in the standard fashion, at the time i developed an intrest in ancient egyptian stuff, if i had access to the hord of infomation then that i do now...
Well, anyways the third time i used it, it was ancient egyptianized, and it was put at the far south region of the Nile, and was the basis for an entire medieval ancient egyptian game world. I made it the year 7311, and that corresponded to 1311 in our world. Since then ive move the time up to 7331, last time it was campaigned in the year was 7313, i would really like to start it up again, need to find me some players in real life.
I was not strict with how players named characters or with how i named NPCs, but again i only had access to a couple books and such as i was also in the Navy at the time and there was no internet in the late 80s. My thought at the time was to keep it Ancient Egyptian Medieval in spirit, in the background as it were. One of the things was when Nobles / wealthy / aristocrats or those thinking they are went about, they wore kohl.
One of my players was at this time playing an Unearthed Arcana Cavalier, now the funny thing at the time is that the letters UA also ment UnAuthorized so we would joke the UA was UA, maybe you had to be there. Any way he was made to wear kohl because of his social standing, so yes i made a Cavelier from the UA wear eye make-up.

....And so it begins.
On the thirteenth day of the last month of the thirteenth year of the millennium he came...
Entity 13.
He held in his hands black forged links that held at the end the god Sutekh, also known as Set. The god strugled in vain.
"Hold and go no further".
"Who dares," Entity 13 thought.
"I the Divinital Beatrice and this assembled host". said the golden armored being. "Do command you to leave this moon of this world Earth, and to release your charge, and leave this galaxy".
Entity 13 looked apon the assembled beings, Zeus, Ra, Oden, and the Angel of Death.
Beyond them the Mercury Golems of the Golden God.
"This day is yours, Divinital Beatrice, and this one". he glances at Sutekh. "Needs to not play games with those from the outside."
